Whether it’s from movies or the fantasy of the perfect bachelor party, hookers and Vegas are often mentioned in the same breath.
Truth is, there are probably more hookers per square mile on the Vegas Strip than almost anywhere else in America.
But one problem most people make is lumping all the different kinds of escorts that work in Vegas into one group. In reality, there are all types of escorts, and I’m not talking about looks or where the girls work.
To help you out, I’m going to outline the 5 types of escorts you’ll meet in Vegas. You should be able to determine the type you want to meet and the type you want to avoid at all costs.
1: The Total Pro
This is the girl who treats escorting like a business. She probably even has a website, a way to accept crypto, and has professional photos all over her profiles on the major social media sites.
This type of escort charges more than most, but she’s pretty much the only sure bet you’ll find in Vegas. If you find a girl like this, you’ll get exactly what you pay for, and sometimes even a little more.
This escort is way past the early phases of sex work, where she’s still figuring out whether this is what she wants to do. She’s already figured out she’s an escort and that’s what she’s going to do as a serious career, at least for now.
Most of these girls don’t walk the strip too much. Instead, they advertise on escort review sites such as TNA or Private Delights, along with a few others.
They tend to charge upwards of $600 per hour, and can go as high as $1000. But as they say, you get what you pay for, and these escorts are guaranteed to be exactly what you expect.
As a bonus, these girls are the “arm candy” type. They’re generally smarter than most escorts and well spoken. You can take them somewhere, and they won’t embarrass you.
2: The Opportunist
The opportunist is the girl who’s not a full-time escort. She may have another job or a source of income. Her second job could be related to escorting, like being a stripper. Or sometimes, it’s a completely normal job, like working at Starbucks.
However, when money is tight or she’s out for the night, she goes into escort mode and works the casino floor.
These girls are an interesting gamble. In some cases, you’re getting a great low-mileage escort. On top of that, since she’s part-time, so if she’s willing to hook up with you, it means she probably likes you, at least a little bit.
Opportunists are generally more picky, and they won’t accept just any customer. They like to be the one who has a little say in who they see.
This means if you hook up with one, you could be in for a fun night, and she might go above and beyond. These escorts can also sometimes morph into a “friend with benefits” or sugar baby type relationship, if that’s what you’re after.
On the other hand, opportunists can be tricky. If they’re desperate for money, they’ll cross that line and scam and hustle if they have to.
Hooking up with an opportunist escort means you must have your guard up and have a little experience dealing with escorts. We have articles on how to avoid escort scams here. But opportunists are a high-risk/high-reward proposition.
For those with experience picking up escorts, it can pay off big.
Opportunists mostly hang out at the casino. One tell is that they’re usually open to partying a little bit instead of just insisting on going to your room. They don’t mind having a few drinks, walking around, or even going to a club, all before you settle on a price.
3: The Complete Mess
This escort is exactly what the name suggests; she’s a total mess. Sometimes you can call it a hot mess, because these girls can still be incredibly hot. But their life is a mess.
They’re always broke. Always about to get evicted. Always having car trouble. And most of all, always full of excuses.
If you book with a “complete mess” escort, she’ll arrive late or won’t arrive at all. But she’ll text you two hours later with a crazy excuse and then ask you to give her a second chance.
These girls generally aren’t that bad as far as scams or hustles go. In fact, they’re usually pretty sweet and good-hearted once you get to know them. They’re just completely unreliable.
Think of them like your one friend who everybody loves, but they’re always in some kind of jam or problem and just can’t seem to get it together.
There’s nothing wrong with these escorts, but they will drive you crazy. If you spend enough time with escorts, you’ll run across tons of these types of girls.
4: The Constant Scammer
These escorts have no redeeming qualities, at least when it comes to escorting. Unlike the other types, who generally provide some kind of service, the constant scammer has no interest in that. Her main goal and main source of income is scamming guys or robbing them.
These girls usually started out as a somewhat regular escort or stripper, but at some point, they went to the dark side, and now they just scam and hustle.
These girls usually work in pairs, but you may only see one. When you have enough experience in Vegas, you’ll spot them when they’re working at a casino together. You’ll then notice them split up before one approaches you and the other watches the action from not that far away.
Other times, they may both approach you at the same time. This is why I often advise that newcomers to Vegas avoid escorts who work in pairs. It’s almost always trouble.
5: The Career Criminal
These are the most dangerous kind of escorts. They’re career criminals, and all of their boyfriends are criminals as well.
They use Vegas and escorting as nothing but a vehicle to find people they can rob.
The reason these girls are dangerous is that they’re almost always raising the level of their crimes until they start flirting with serious offenses. This means they start with hustling or scamming, like upselling. But quickly, they’re drugging guys or even using weapons.
Worse yet, they set unsuspecting customers up to be robbed by their boyfriends or another group. In these cases, the escort is just the bait to get you somewhere alone so you can get robbed.
An interesting thing about career criminal escorts is that often, their boyfriend will be the first to approach you.
If you’re gambling in a casino or have a nice watch, the guy will spot you and strike up a casual conversation with you. It seems totally normal, but he’s casing you and finding out who you’re with in Vegas, how drunk you are, and how much cash you may have.
After a brief conversation, he then secretly motions for the escort to target you and start to try to get you to go to a hotel room, or somewhere else. When that happens, it’s always bad news.
Bottom line is you want to avoid these girls at all costs.
