For better or worse, OnlyFans has really changed the entire sex work industry. Without a doubt, we all know it has 100% changed the nature of studio-produced porn.
Today, most young actresses who want to try porn will opt for an OnlyFans account instead of venturing out to California, suitcase in hand, like they did in decades past.
It has also changed the strip club scene. I wrote an article about how Vegas strip club managers say it’s harder to find new girls to dance, as most will try OnlyFans first instead of working at a strip club.
The ones that would make the best strippers usually find enough success on OnlyFans that they never bother to walk into a strip club. Or, they just decide sex work isn’t for them and they move on to something else. Either way, the result is the same; fewer strippers
But what about in-person sex work, like escorts? Specifically here in Vegas. Has that changed as well due to OnlyFans?
Well, the answer is yes. And I’ll explain why below.
It’s True, Every Escort Has an OnlyFans Now
If you’ve dabbled in escorts, in Vegas or anywhere else, you’ve likely noticed that many escorts also sell “content”. Whether it’s in the ad on sites like Private Delights or even in person, they’ll usually push their OnlyFans account right along with their escort prices.

I talk to a lot of escorts, both casino escorts and girls that work for agencies, and they all have an OnlyFans account, or have had an account in the past. The ones that don’t have an account are usually the ones who got kicked off the platform for not following the rules.

Escorts generally aren’t that good at following rules. That’s not a judgment, that’s just a fact I’ve learned after talking with so many escorts and sex workers.
Escorts Would Prefer To Only do OnlyFans
Truth is, of all the escorts I’ve spoken with, they would all prefer to only have to do OnlyFans if they could make enough money from the platform. It’s just easier, and escorts are no different than the rest of us; we prefer easy work over hard work if the money is the same.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of escorts who actually like escorting. At least when it goes well and the client pays well.
It’s not unusual for an escort to become “addicted” to the lifestyle of escorting. The adventure, the risk, the fast money. It has its appeal, even if it sometimes has downsides that make escorts want to work online only.
So, how does all this relate to whether OnlyFans has changed escorting?
The impact OnlyFans has had is really one of perception in the eyes of escorts and even strippers.
Strippers and escorts love the idea of fast money; that’s why they do what they do. They’ve all seen the stories in mainstream news outlets of OnlyFans models that make a million dollars on the first day. Or OnlyFans models that show off their luxury lifestyle on Instagram.
This is really want impacts escorts the most. They feel that this easy money is within their reach, too. So it makes them less interested in focusing on escorting. Not just doing it as work, but also the service they provide.
Escorts today often feel like in-person escorting is a step down. To them, the ultimate way to make money is through OnlyFans.
The result is that just like anybody else who feels their job isn’t that great, they do a half-ass job while on the clock.
This is where the real impact of OnlyFans on escorts really comes into play. This isn’t just a theory, I’ve heard this directly from escorts and strippers.
If they have a good week of sales on OnlyFans, they almost lose interest in escorting in person. They’ll even turn down clients that week because they think their OnlyFans has finally blown up.
Eventually, they do go back to escorting when they need the money in a week or two, but they sort of resent it. The result is poorer service for the client who just booked that escort.
Don’t be Discouraged, This Doesn’t Mean all Escorts Suck Now (No Pun Intended)
What I’m describing is a broad trend. But I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is real.
But like all trends, it doesn’t impact everyone. I still know plenty of escorts who prefer escorting and dislike OnlyFans or online sex work.
OnlyFans is still closer to “real” work in that models have to manage their content, interact, and do other tasks. In other words, it’s a day job.
The money paid to the models also comes via a legitimate payment service or wire transfer, so there’s a record of it. That means the girls should be paying tax on it, which reduces their earnings by at least 30%, not to mention the 20% cut that OnlyFans takes.
So in essence, a $500 client for an escort means she earns exactly $500 that day. It’s also tax-free as I’ve never met an escort who has paid a penny in taxes…ever.
But on OnlyFans, that $500 in memberships means the model only gets about $250 after taxes and the OnlyFans cut.
This is why many escorts keep coming back to escorting, even if they would prefer to only do OnlyFans or cam modeling, escorting just pays more for most girls.
What Can You Do?
Some guys I know actually prefer escorts that have OnlyFans accounts. They subscribe and watch the videos before meeting the escort, and this provides some extra excitement for them.
But overall, the same rules apply when looking for a good escort in the age of OnlyFans. Do your research, if possible, and use Vegas escort review sites.
Here in Vegas, if you plan on picking up a casino girl, make sure you know about the Vegas escort scams I talk about here and throughout the site.
In the end, picking up an escort has always been a gamble. So in that regard, things haven’t really changed that much at all.
