Strip clubs can be strange and random places. Two different guys can walk into the same strip club, on the same night, and have two totally different experiences.
What’s the difference?
While some of it may have to do with the guy and his expectations, a majority of it comes down to the strippers they pick…or more importantly, the strippers they don’t pick.
Many guys who don’t have a lot of experience at strip clubs often pick the wrong stripper. This can totally derail your night and drain away any fun. The reason is that these bad strippers are usually good at spotting strip club newbies. They’re also good at draining the customer’s bankroll with hustles, empty promises, and upsells.
To avoid this, I’m going to give you the top 5 signs a stripper is a hustler and not worth your time. This is based on my years of experience at strip clubs and even dating strippers, so this applies to any strip club, not just the ones here in Las Vegas.
Sign #1: She’s Hanging Out by the Main Entrance
The strippers who give the worst private dances are always the ones who hang out by the front door and try to grab guys just as they walk in.
The reason they hang out by the front door is two-fold. First of all, they get guys when they haven’t spent any cash yet, which means they have the most cash to take. Second, they can quickly spot newbies who are uncomfortable saying “no” to a stripper.
The stripper can quickly hardsell these customers into buying a block of dancers (or even a VIP room) even though they just walked into the club a few minutes ago. They then give some very boring lap dances and return to the front door to find another victim.
Another reason that these strippers are no good is that if they’re hanging around the main entrance, it means they’re not partying and having fun inside the actual club.
As I say all the time, you want to find the stripper in the club that’s the “party girl”. The one drinking, laughing, and flirting around. That only happens INSIDE the club, not by the door.
Bottom line is that the strippers that hang out by the front door are just looking to hustle away your cash and provide the most basic lap dance possible.
Sign #2: She Only Walks the Main Floor, then Disappears to the Dressing Room
You’ll see this a lot at clubs that don’t put much emphasis on stage dancing. A stripper will pop out of the dressing room and make a quick stroll of the main floor, looking for customers. She looks for any new customers compared to the last time she walked out, and asks them if they want a VIP dance. If nobody says yes, she walks right back into the dressing room.
These girls are just looking for easy money from unsuspecting guys. They have no interest in even pretending like they’re having a good time. If you get a private dance from these girls, you’ll just be wasting your money.
She’ll also try to talk you into spending the most money possible by using all kinds of promises.
Don’t fall for it. These strippers are the most boring, and they will try to take all your money while delivering the absolute minimum.
Just be aware that strippers do sometimes tend to go back into the dressing room from time to time. But I’m talking about strippers who only come out of the dressing room, walk the main floor for a minute or two to find customers, then head right back to the dressing room over and over again.
Avoid these strippers.
Sign #3: She Never Drinks
This one has a few exceptions, but in a strip club, a stripper who doesn’t drink is usually not going to be as wild as a stripper who does. This isn’t because a stripper who drinks gets drunk. It’s just that a stripper who is drinking in the club is trying to have some fun that night.
A stripper who is trying to have fun has a higher chance of giving out extras if she finds a guy she’s comfortable with or makes the right moves.
One thing to be very careful of this stripper scam, where you offer to buy her a drink, and she orders some weird, expensive item from the bar. These drinks usually have no booze in them, and the high price counts towards the stripper’s “stage fee”, which is the fee the stripper has to pay back to the club each night.
If you want to avoid this scam, just casually ask the stripper what she drinks before offering to buy the drink at the bar or from the waitress. If she says something weird like a “pink flamingo latte”, it’s probably a fake drink that costs $40 and has no booze.
Which means, she’s already playing you before you even get a private dance.
Sign #4: She Immediately Starts Trying to Push Blocks of Dances or VIP Rooms
Strippers who give out extras and are fun in the private dance area generally chill with a guy for a little while first. I don’t mean they’ll sit and chat for hours before getting paid. But they’ll happily sit with you, flirt, and not immediately keep pestering you to buy a bunch of dances.
If a stripper immediately starts pushing for dances, those dances are going to be boring, and the chances of extras are very low.
One thing to keep in mind is that if a good stripper does come around, you have to give her a reason to sit and chill with you for a bit without talking about buying dances. So this takes a little practice.
But overall, a pushy dancer is usually a boring dancer once you go to the private dance area. Worse yet, the pushy ones are also usually scammers.
However, I know guys who only care about how hot a stripper is and nothing else. So, if you only care about looks and don’t care about extras or a good private dance, then you can ignore things like this.
Sign #5: She Dances on the Stage But Ignores All The Customers
The stage at a strip club is always a good way to gauge if a stripper will give good private dances. You can see how much she interacts with customers and even test her out if you’re tipping.
A striper who dances but doesn’t really acknowledge any of the customers is likely not going to give a good private dance. She may be just having a bad night, hungover, or the guys are being cheap.
But regardless of the reason, she’s in a bad, stand-offish mood, and there’s no reason to try to get her to open up on that night.
She may be amazing on other nights, but on that night, she’s a pass.
I have some advice for tipping at the stage at a strip club that helps you determine if a stripper, or even the club, has loose contact rules. It works really well, so make sure to check it out via the link.
The Best Advice if You’re New to a Strip Club
The best advice I can give if you’re new to strip clubs, or just new to a specific club, is to take your time.
For example, with Sign #1 I mentioned, you can avoid that by just bypassing all the girls at the front door who swarm you when you first walk in.
Get to a place at the bar, or possibly the stage, order a drink, and just observe the girls and see what they’re doing.
There’s no big rush. Once you observe for a few minutes, you’ll start to see who the different girls are, how they act or dance on stage, and who seems to be the most fun.
Then you can start spending a little money to see how the night goes on.
If you play it like this and use my advice, you’ll never get hustled or scammed, and you’ll have the best chance of extras at almost any strip club, including here in Las Vegas.
